TMS320F280039C: Clarification on FAST/InstaSPIN-FOC support for F280039c in Universal Motor Control Lab

Part Number: TMS320F280039C

I am working with TMS320F280039c using C2000Warw Motorcontrol SDK(Universal Motor Control Lab).

FAST Libraries(fast_full_lib.lib, etc.) are present in the project, but the datasheet doesn't mention InstaSPIN-FOC or FAST in ROM, and sensorless.

Is InstaSPIN-FOC or FAST are available in ROM or any stanfalone software library foe TMS320F280039c?

Is, eSMO + PLL recommended sensorless FOC Observer method for F28003x device?

    Hi Kavana,

    For F280039C, since we also target both motor control and digital power applications with this device family, we don't have InstaSPIN-FOC in the ROM. InstaSPIN-FOC is available through the library files which get compiled into the project and reside in the flash, then get copied to RAM during project initialization. These libraries are closed source but you are free to use the compiled libraries based on the InstaSPIN user guide.

    The Universal project supports FAST and eSMO and you can choose based on the system requirements of your motor
