TMS320F28031: Reprogramming issue

Hello,

We are using TMS320F28031PAGT microcontroller. We are facing reprogramming failure. It got prgrammed one time and next time it stuck in erase page and not moving further activity. Could help us to debug the issue.

We can see Vcc 3V3 voltage on micro, also in Jtag pins. no short in the circtuit.

Hi Abhilash,

Can you tell me which debugger probe you are currently using, as well as send me the entire error that you are seeing when you attempt to connect to the device?

and also we use Texas Instruments XDS110 USB Debug Probe.

2nd Error:

[ERROR] C28xx: Error connecting to the target: (Error -1135 @ 0x0) The debug probe reported an error. Confirm debug probe configuration and connections, reset the debug probe, and retry the operation. (Emulation package 20.2.0.3575)

Hi Abhilash,

For the XDS110 Debug probe error, please confirm that under your target configurations file you have selected the correct board and debug probe. Can you then attempt to connect to the device using the same file by clicking advanced -> test connections?

For the C2000-GANG programmer error, I have looped in the respective expert.

Hello AJ Favels, i have replced controller and it started to work and done reprogramming. why is controller getting damaged?

Hi Abhilash,

Their is damage to the controller after attempting to use both the C2000-GANG programmer and XDS110? Can you describe the damage you see and is there any difference in the way you connected this controller with the one that is currently working?

I see damage because i was not able to program it. So I have replaced with new microcontroller and found programming with new micro.

i have a question for recommendation for programming method. Do i need to use power supply external Vcc with power supply or Can i use 3V3 through JTAG? what is the actual method to program this micro controller?
