TMDSCNCD28379D: LED2 & LED3 Behavior

Hi Team,

A customer purchased a TMDSCNCD28379D and would like to know if the behavior of LED2 & LED3 being continously ON is okay? To be clear, the customer does not encounter any issues. It's just that the LEDs mentioned remains ON.

Checking the forum, it appears that constantly on LD2 and LD3 typically indicates that the device is stuck in an error state or a specific boot mode. but this is not the case for the customer. the board runs smoothly with no issue.

The customer has an old TMDSCNCD28379D that turn ON briefly during startup (for a few seconds) and then turn OFF for the remainder of the operation. Which is the expected behavior.

Hello Marvin,

LED2 and LED3 are user LEDs that are connected to GPIO31 and GPIO34 based on the table Table 5-1. Hardware References in EVM's User Guide: https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/sprui76b/sprui76b.pdf. They should be by default OFF. They are ON if the code that turns them ON/OFF, toggles them gets flashed onto the device.

Hi Stevan,

The customer tried flashing the same code to the two boards and the result was that the new board keeps the LED2 and LED3 on while the old board turn on shortly then remains off.

Marvin,

Could you let me know what boot mode is selected for board 1 and board 2, please? Also, which code example are you flashing onto the board?
