TMS320F28P550SG: Flash Bank size for F28P551SD

I have mixed data;

SPRUJ53C – APRIL 2024 – REVISED FEBRUARY 2025

Page 816 is showing only 256kByte Banks for the F28P55x devices.

 

In the datasheet: SPRSPC5 – JANUARY 2026

SG:512KB (2 x 256KB Banks)

SJ: 256KB (2 x 128KB Bank)

Is the SJ really 2x128K or one 1x256K ?

    Edwin,

    All F28P550 devices are either 512KB(SG) or 1MB(SJ), plus an optional 64KB data flash bank based on the part number/feature digit.

    Other than the 64KB bank, the main banks are always 256KB on this device

    I think at one point there was going to be a SD orderable, which had 256KB total, split into 2 x 128KB banks, but that part was deprecated, prior to RTM.  The current DS should not contain that variant/info, but if it does please let me know.
