Hi team,

I ask this for my customer

My customer will use makefile to create and build a project, i ask them to follow this: 6.4.1. Creating and Building Projects from Command Line — Code Composer Studio 20.4.0 Documentation

But for debug, seems it should be in IDE CCS? Do we have any guildeline to show how to use makefile to create and build a project and debug in IDE?

Or do we have any other debug method not use CCS? such as UDE tools provided by infineon

Hi Shuqing,

Apologies for the delay. CCS IDE is the recommended tool for debug.

Users can use their own makefile to build the project, but this would be an unmanaged project that CCS project server will not know about. To debug the generated .out file, user would still need to create the launch configuration using the launch.json file and point it to use the .out file that was generated with the makefile.
