Hi all,

Regarding DC bias for DCDC, the customer noticed that some solutions use a delta-sigma ADC to achieve this. Do we have a similar peripheral interface? Or are there any solutions available to implement DC bias for DCDC?

AM2634 gave a SDFM peripheral, which provides 4 channels of signal delta ADC data stram input.

Hi Han,

My understanding is that the DC bias of a DCDC refers to detecting the average DC value of its output.

Can we think : 1 x SDFM = 1x 4-channel sigma-delta ADC?

Is it correct that each channel applies low-pass filtering or simply averages the sampled ADC output data to obtain the “DC bias” value of the DCDC output?

Do we have any relevant code examples for this?

Hi Jenney,

Each SDFM can interface with 4x sigma delta modulators. Each channels have 2x Sinc filters for high accuracy data output and high speed output for protection.

We have SDFM peripheral example software in AM26x MCU+SDK.

Hi Han,

i can think the chain:

Physical signal (analog current/voltage, etc.) → sigma-delta modulator → bitstream (PDM) → [SDFM Sinc Filter] → filtered digital value (DC bias)

Is this right?
