Hi Sir/Madam,

When I try to import project from below location,

C:\ti\c2000\C2000Ware_6_00_01_00\training\device\f2837xd\advance_topics\labs_dma

In workspace prject get created. When I try to open lab_dma_laucnhpad.syscfg file following message is appearing.

Invalid argument '-s': File "C:\ti\C2000Ware_6_00_01_00\.metadata\sdk.json" does not exist

Actually sdk.json file exists in the specified path.

What could be the issue?

Hi Prashant,

Thank you for your question. Here are some things to consider.

1. Your C2000Ware installation directory is C:\ti\c2000\C2000Ware_6_00_01_00 but CCS is looking for the json file at C:\ti\C2000Ware_6_00_01_00\.metadata. These paths are different (the c2000 folder is missing). Check Window → Preferences → Code Composer Studio → Products to confirm C2000Ware appears under "Installed Products" and that the path is your actual installation path.

2. Sometimes while installing c2000Ware, C2000Ware_6_00_01_00\.metadata can get saved as just metadata instead of .metadata. Navigate to your installed C2000Ware, and if you see a metadata folder, rename it to .metadata (Note: You may need to enable "Show hidden files" in Windows File Explorer to see folders starting with a period after renaming.)

With these 2 changes, try reimporting the project into your CCS workspace and then opening the syscfg file.

On the bottom left there will be a gear icon -> Code Composer Studio Settings -> General -> Products -> Check your product discovery path for C2000Ware

The path is for c200ware,

c/ti/c2000/C2000Ware_6_00_01_00

In .metadata folder sdk.json file also available.

Can you add C:/ti/c2000 to the product discovery path as well. Because the issue is that it is trying to look for the json file in C:\ti\C2000Ware_6_00_01_00\. and not C:\ti\c2000\C2000Ware_6_00_01_00\.

I tried adding C:/ti/c2000 to the product discovery path,still can not open the sys config file.

When we right click on syscfg file, some path is appearing. If we can edit this path then we can open the syscfg file.

Can you change it Basic Options (it should be under Sys Config) in the Properties tab. In that go to the List of Product metadata files to load (-s, --product) field and set the correct path for your json file. In the top right there will be an option to add/remove/edit. You can edit it from there.
