Hello,
I am working up to the point were I can use the Simulink embedded encoder to do motor control of a brushed DC via a F28335. For my first step, I wanted to use the TMS3202000 experimenter kit to get access to the eQEP and direct a separate motor driver.
Q1: it looks like I need to manually solder on some of the non broken out J1 pins to gain access to all four of a eQEP set. Does this make sense?
Q2: I was comparing the eQEP pins on the DRV8412EVM board. It appears that there are some caps, resistors and some kind of chip. Are these necessary to condition the eQEP signal from an encoder, or can I directly connect a hall effect encoder to the eQEP?
Q3: Does anyone know how "square" the inputs to the eQEP need to be? Some of my encoders are slightly trapezoidal, or have a little oscillation at the switch point. I looked through the eQEP litterature, but didn't see any waveform specifications.
Thanks,
Mark
