LAUNCHXL-F28P65X: ADC 16 bit mode

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-F28P65X

Good Morning,

I did not understand if using the board ADC in 16-bit mode resolution, with signal mode set to "sample on single pin with VREFLO", I can still use the entirety of the pins, or I am still limited to half of them like in differential mode.

In my application I would need to sample 16 single-ended channels in 16-bit resolution.

Thanks,

Treves Mathieu

  • Hi Treves,

Yes — 16-bit resolution does not reduce your available channels

In single-ended mode ("sample on single pin with VREFLO"), switching to 16-bit resolution does not halve your channel count. You have full access to all available ADC pins. Your 16-channel requirement is well within the hardware's capability.

    Thanks
