Hello, Im Brendan.

I'm currently attempting to perform standalone firmware downloads for mass production of the TMS320F2812 and TMS320F28335 using the S-GANG programmer.

Since the C2000-GANG programmer has been discontinued, I purchased the S-GANG as a replacement after confirming with Elprotronic that these MCUs would be supported. However, based on my communication with Elprotronic, it seems that support for older MCUs is still under improvement, and there is no clear timeline for completion.

Given this situation, could you please advise if there are any alternative standalone flash programmers that support these devices?

    Hi Brendan,

    I would recommend using the XDS110 JTAG debug probe. This should support both the F2812x and F2833x devices in terms of being a flash programmer.

    Hi Favela,

    I am looking for a product that can perform Standalone Flash Programming without a PC or Emulator.

    Do you know the target timeline for when Elprotronic will complete the patch for old C2000 MCU?
    If not, are there any other third-party vendors that provide standalone flash programmers?

    Hi Brendan,

    Unfortunately Elprotronic is the only third party vendor that I know that provides a standalone flash programmer that is compatible with C2000 MCU's, however allow me to ask my colleagues if they know of any other vendors as well. 

    As for a timeline, unfortunately that is something I also can not provide as this would come from Elprotronic themselves.
