Hi team

Do the TMS320F280023 use CMOS technology? Does the MCU have internal protection against CMOS latch-up, and under what conditions would it be triggered?

If an I/O pin has 2V voltage present while the MCU is unpowered or during the power-up process, will latch-up occur?

Hi Shuqing,

Yes CMOS technology is used for C2000 family, this is common across most other MCUs as well. Prior to powering the device, no voltage larger than 0.3V above VDDIO should be applied to any digital pins, so the device will assert a POR reset during the power-up process.
