TXB0104-Q1: TXB0104QPWRQ1 unstable behavior

Part Number: TXB0104-Q1

Hi TI Experts,

I am currently migrating a motor controller board to a 3.3V system using the F28P659DK microcontroller. To interface my original 5V encoder circuit with the MCU, I implemented a voltage translator; however, I’ve found that the chip outputs are unstable.

I would like to share my current schematic and oscilloscope waveforms to see if this behavior is expected and if there are any recommended workarounds.

Thank you in advance,

  • Hi Luciano,

Please help to check if there are any long cabling/ heavy capacitive loads at  the outputs of the device. The oscillations are generally caused by unintentional triggering of the internal one-shots, due false triggering. Here is an app note that covers additional details: www.ti.com/.../scea135.pdf
