TMS320F28P650DK: EQEP QPOSCNT index reset in direction-count Mode

Part Number: TMS320F28P650DK

Hi, experts

May you have a nice day!

I encountered an issue while configuring the EQEP. I would like to ask the experts to help me check what went wrong with my configuration. My settings are as follows:

QDECCTL.QSRC = 1;
QDECCTL.XCR = 1;
QEPCTL.PCRM = 0;
QEPCTL.IEL = 3;

QA inputs position pulses; QB inputs direction level.

During testing, I found that after the first index rising edge, the EQEP module continuously triggers the first index mark on multiple subsequent edges. For example, if the edges following the first index rising edge are: QA falling edge, QB rising edge, and QA rising edge, the module will trigger the first index mark on all three edges in sequence.

This result confuses me a lot. May I ask the experts: where did I go wrong in my configuration?

Looking forward to your reply!
