TMS320F28377S: DSP PCB layout inquiry

hello.

I have an inquiry regarding the PCB layout for using the TMS320F28377S.

The current package is using the PTP type.

When designing a PCB with 4 layers, please tell me if there is a problem when placing a decoupling capacitor for power on Layer 1 of the PCB and Layer 4 just below the DSP.

Additionally, if you have any materials related to DSP PCB Layout, please provide the URL address.

Hi Kim,

This is fine to do and actually preferred sometimes depending on the number of decoupling caps and power pins on the device, as long as the layer stackup is not too wide. We even do this on most of our LaunchPad and controlCARD EVMs. We don't have a hardware design guide specific for this device but you may refer to the generic C2000 Hardware Design Guide located here: https://www.ti.com/lit/an/spracz9a/spracz9a.pdf
