Dear TI Support Team,

We are planning to use the TIDM-1010 / BOOSTXL-POSMGR kit together with the LAUNCHXL-F28379D in our motor drive project.

Our goal is to evaluate BiSS/SSI absolute encoder communication for motor position feedback. In our setup, we plan to use the F28379D as the BiSS/SSI master, the BOOSTXL-POSMGR as the encoder interface board, and an absolute encoder as the slave device. We also intend to perform tests with different cable lengths, communication frequencies, and line termination/filtering configurations in order to evaluate signal integrity and communication reliability.

Before placing an order, we would like to confirm one point. One of our colleagues previously worked with this kit and experienced some issues during operation. Therefore, we would like to ask whether there are any known hardware or software issues with the current TIDM-1010 / BOOSTXL-POSMGR kit, especially when used together with the LAUNCHXL-F28379D.

Could you please confirm whether the current kit revision is stable and recommended for new motor drive development work? Also, if there are any known limitations, required hardware modifications, specific jumper settings, or recommended software versions, we would appreciate it if you could share this information before we proceed with the purchase.

    Can you describe what the issue faced by your colleague was in relation to this board? The only thing to note is that it would be good to double check the pinout of both board interfaces to understand their compatibility, as depending on the interface used on the POSMGR board, it may not be able to be seated directly on the LaunchPad and would require signals to be manually jumped
