The TMS320F28377D, as well as TMS320F2837xD devices, share a TUV certificate indicating :
- Systematic Capability up to SIL 3
- Hardware Integrity up to SIL 2
We need to build a SIL3 system for one of our customer, thus compliant with Hardware Integrity SIL3.
Our understanding of the Functional Safety Manual SPRUI78D, section 5.1 C2000 MCU Infrastucture Components, adding specific HW devices to ensure power supply, clock and reset monitoring could ensure and be sufficient to build a SIL3 system, considering the single device, dual processor, TMS320F377D as compliant with Hardware Integrity SIL3.
Else, we would not understand why ensuring for System Capability up to SIL3.
Could you please confirm/comment our statement ?
