F29H859TU-Q1: MCAL demo project can't run without debugger

Part Number: F29H859TU-Q1

Hi TI,

I have installed the F29H85xMCAL-26.00.00.06, when I test the demo project "Dio_Example_Read_Write_All", I got some problems below:

       1. Build error: "C29-cert-pad.bin": no such file or directory (debug MCU normally with this error).

           image.png

        2. The demo board run normally when debugger connected, but when I disconnect debugger, the MCU didn't work, and I found that MCU halt at 0x14EB0 when I connect debugger, it seems like that MCU stuck in boot rom.

Please help me to fix these problems, thanks.

Best Regards,

Yang.Ma

  • Hello,

. Build error: "C29-cert-pad.bin": no such file or directory (debug MCU normally with this error).

Do you have OpenSSL installed on your PC? This is a requirement in order to run the post-build steps.

I built this example okay in the F29H85xMCAL-26.00.00.06 release:

What is meant by "debug MCU normally with this error"?

    2. The demo board run normally when debugger connected, but when I disconnect debugger, the MCU didn't work, and I found that MCU halt at 0x14EB0 when I connect debugger, it seems like that MCU stuck in boot rom.

If the .out of the compiled project was loaded it's probably due to the certificate error that was showcased when the project was built, this needs to be corrected before loading the .out on the device.

    Best Regards,

    Marlyn
