TMS320F28386D: example use FPU

Hi TI Team,

We are currently using the TMS320F28386D with ARM Core M4, We are at the max with the computing time. Now we have noticed that it should also have a floating point unit. We could also activate these in the compiler (--float_support=FPv4SPD16), but the software is no longer running.

Is there an example or a guide on how to do this? FOR EXAMPLE, I did not find the CPACR tab which should be described in the debugger or in the data sheet.

Hi ,

Can you please clarify by "software is no longer running".

Also can you try switching to latest ccs if you are not.

You can find fpu example in "{c2000ware sdk}libraries\dsp\FPU

Thanks for the reply, I fell into a TRAP while executing the first ASM command. I couldn't find examples in "{c2000ware sdk}libraries\dsp\FPU for the ARM core. So first, could you confirm that the TMS320F28386D controller has a ARM core with an FPU?

Hi , Sorry for the confusion.

So , the CM has ARM core but it "does not" have fpu.

The other 2 cores are c28x based which "have" the fpu.
