TMS320F280039C-Q1: an over-temperature protection mechanism

Part Number: TMS320F280039C-Q1

Hi all,

Does the F280039 have an over-temperature protection mechanism?

A customer encountered an anomaly where, under high-temperature conditions, the software-based GPIO toggling mechanism (implemented via TIMER0 timing) stopped working — the GPIO was no longer toggling. At the software level, the customer has not added any application-layer logic to handle temperature conditions. After restarting the chip, it resumed normal operation.

The question is: at the hardware level, does the chip have any related mechanism, given that the junction temperature has not been exceeded?

Regards,

Jenney
