Hello,
When assigning a symbol in a linker command file to a symbol from a C file (such as a function name), the resultant symbol is placed 0x20 bytes earlier (according to the map file). So for example if I used `renamed_main = main;` where `main` is placed at `0x80`, `renamed_main` would instead be placed at `0x60`.
This is only an issue when `--relocatable` is used, otherwise both symbols are correctly placed in the same location. Unfortunately this issue persists when the generated relocatable elf file is relinked into a final absolute executable.
I have attached a minimum reproduction (test.zip), executing `C:\ti\ccs2031\ccs\tools\compiler\ti-cgt-c29_2.2.0.LTS\bin\c29clang.exe main.c test.cmd` in this folder should result in a `test.map` file being generated (I have also reproduced this on ti-cgt-c29_2.0.0.STS).
This places `renamed_main` and `renamed_test` at `0xffffffe0` and `0xfffffff0` respectively as these are `0x20` less than `main` and `test` (32 bit wrapped), whereas they should just be placed at `0x0` and `0x10`.
Thanks,
William
