TMS320F28P650DH: Can only configure ESC port0 GPIO without configure Port1 gpio?

Hi Team,

My customer only need to use ESC port0, and want to Port1 GPIO to control other peripheral. But my customer found it they don't configure Port1 GPIO to ESC function. The master can't scan this device.

So it need to be configure port0 and port1 at the same time, even if don't use port1.

Hi ,

Yes those pins need to be configured even if you don't use port 1.

Thanks, if we configure port1, but there don't have PHY1 on the board, it will work for ESC?

Hi ,

I had a discussion with expert and trying out what they mentioned ,

it will work without phy1 but you will need to configure the pins.

You can comment out other gpio pins related to port 1 except for the link status one.

Also for link status of phy1 you can refer the datasheet and use other gpio pins like gpio 14 , 68.

You will need to configure the link status pins and the force it to 0.
