Hi experts,

The customer is considering using the F28P650, and functional safety is required for their application.

Q1:For the SDL (C2000-SAFETI-DIAGNOSTICS-LIB), is there any plan to provide a certified SDL version for F28P65x with a Compliance Support Package (CSP)?

Q2:Would it be possible to provide the following documents?

  • Device FMEDA: SafeTI tunable FMEDA / MIDAS FMEDA database
  • Safety Analysis Report (SAR)
  • Safety Report
  • Safety Report Summary, including DFA and common-cause failure analysis

Q3:Could you please confirm whether the latest version of C2000 MISRA-C Policy (SPRACB3) is “SPRACB3 – September 2017”? Also, is there any policy or roadmap for MISRA C:2025 support and/or MISRA C++ support?

We would like to confirm whether the above information is available, and if there is any planned schedule for availability. Since the customer has already executed an NDA, if this information can be obtained by contacting the local sales team, it would be helpful if you could reply accordingly.

    For F28P65x, we have an SDL in C2000Ware (under libraries/diagnostic/). However, it is not certified and is not developed to a fully functional safety quality process flow, so although we can share some test reports for it, we don't have a full CSP. There are also two additional test libraries for F29P65x in the C28 Self-Test Library and the CLA Self-Test Library. These two are certified and contain a CSP. I will discuss the NDA status and share these links with the FAE. See the diagnostic libraries section of the device functional safety manual for more details.

    This document is out of date. When we share the C28x and CLA STL package, the MISRA reports in their CSPs will contain the updated policy information. These F28 STL projects follow MISRA C 2012. There's currently no plan to migrate them.
