Hi,

Can I connect the TMS320F28377S LaunchPad directly to a PC using the USB signals (D+, D−, and GND) through the LaunchPad headers on GPIO42 (USBDM) and GPIO43 (USBDP), and have the device enumerate as a USB CDC (Virtual COM Port) on the PC?

    Hi,

    While the F28377S chip itself contains a USB peripheral, the LAUNCHXL-F28377S physical board lacks a dedicated USB data connector routed to the peripheral pins. 
    Hence, you will need to have blue wiring as you have mentioned. Pls ensure that the pins are mapped correctly (USB signals to the GPIO pins)
