unable to connect to target tms320f28335

hello,

we were successfully using the tms320f28335 controlcard for motor control applications.

but for the past few days we are encountering the following error:

Error connecting to the target:
Error 0x00001200/-1145
Error during: OCS, Target, 
Unrecoverable emulation error

Sequence ID: 0
Error Code: -1145
Error Class: 0x00001200
I/O Port = 0

Board Name: F28335 XDS100 USB Emulator
Cpu Name: TMS320C2800_0

we use code composer studio v3.3 for matlab embedded target support.

i also tried to connect to target via ccsv 4.2 and met with the same error.

on retrying,i was asked to reset the emulator.i tried to do it through

debug option via ccsv3 but no avail.

kindly suggest a way to rectify the problem.our work is halted because of this hangup.

Balaji,

We need to confirm whether this is a device issue / emulator issue (or) hardware issue.

Did you make sure your XDS100 emulator is working with other devices? If you have other emulators like XDS510USB, XDS510PP+ (or) any other emulator try connecting to defective system.

we have a XDS510PP+ emulator.can you tell us how the onboard xds100 emulator should be

disabled? and can you please give us a brief description of how the xds510pp+ should be

configured for our TMDSDOCK?

Balaji,

I am not sure about your hardware setup. But did you try connecting XDS510PP+ (or) XDS510USB emulator to your JTAG header and connect to CCS?

yes we tried to connecting via xds510pp+ emulator,but we face the same emulation error.

can you please tell us how hardware reset should be performed on 28335 experimenter kit?

where can the XRS pin be found in the kit?
