F29P589DM-Q1: Does driverlib files have Static analysis and unit test reports?

Part Number: F29P589DM-Q1

Hi,

Since, F29x MCUs are having HW capability for ISL2 and can achive SIL3, I am expecting the reports static analysis and unit test reports for all driverlib files. Are they available? If yes, please let me know the procedure to get them.

Thanks.

  • There are static analysis and test reports in the "docs" folder of the F29H85x SDK that you can reference. However, do note that the driverlib is developed according to our baseline quality software development process flow and is not considered functional safety quality.

  • I gone through the 'docs' folder. I can see the MISRA-C report, but unable to locate for individual driverlib files (eg: uart.c, dma.c etc.,).

Is this statement against to the "F29H85x, F29P58x MCUs are SIL2 capable" Because the MCU is SIL2 certified. But this is not possible without detailed static analysis and unit test reports.

In the 'docs' folder, the test report excel doc is having info about integration test cases. For Unit testing it is showing 0. What I am expecting is for the source file provided, there should be line and branch coverage details and evidences showing this coverage.

All these reports are in excel sheets. I am not sure whether these can be accepted as genuine reports. At least pdf format is expected along with review and approvals history.

We generate the report for the whole SDK instead of individual reports by module. You can filter the "Raw Issue Details" section by file though to see file level details.

The hardware itself is certified up to ASIL D and SIL 3. That is separate from the software provided in the SDK. Some F29 software components such as the Software Diagnostic Library (SDL) and the MCAL that are developed with our functional safety quality software development flow and are in the process of getting certifications of their own, but it is not currently planned for driverlib.
