TMS320F28388D: Missing MCAN_A bit in CPUSEL8 register

Hi,

I have noticed that the documentation SPRUII0F mentions MCAN_A bit in register CPUSEL8 (Figure 3-212 and Table 3-224) but the bit does not seem to be present on the board.

The code composer studio does not display it and when I attempted to write to the whole register only the first 2 bits get modified. I have also noticed that the Figure 3-1 in SPRSP14D document shows the CAN-FD only being assignable to CPU1 and CM.

Is the information about the MCAN_A bits in SPRUII0F incorrect and is that a "typo"?

    Hello Jakub,

    Yes,  MCAN_A is only accessible through CPU1 and CM.  That is a documentation bug on CPUSEL8 in the TRM.  I have filed this in the documentation bug list to get it removed.  Thank you for pointing this out.
