Part Number: TMS320F2800132
Hello,
I have created a program for TMS320F2800132.
The program can be updated using SCI, for this I have used Application report SPRACN1 "C2000 software controlled firmware update process".
As explain in the document, the default boot configuration need to be modified, changing boot configuration in OTP.
It runs as expected but I have a question regarding programming:
As explain in the document, this was added in the code:
#pragma RETAIN(otp_z1_data_1)
#pragma DATA_SECTION(otp_z1_data_1,"dcsm_zsel_z1_1");
const long otp_z1_data_1 = 0x5AFFFF20;//GPIO32 is used to change the boot mode
#pragma RETAIN(otp_z1_data_2)
#pragma DATA_SECTION(otp_z1_data_2,"dcsm_zsel_z1_2");
const long otp_z1_data_2 = 0xFFFF0103;//GPIO32=0 => BOOT from flash GPIO32=1=> BOOT from SCI
And this in the linker command file:
MEMORY
{
PAGE 0:
DCSM_ZSEL_Z1_P0: origin = 0x078008, length = 0x000002//BOOTPIN_CONFIG
DCSM_ZSEL_Z1_P1: origin = 0x07800C, length = 0x000002//BOOTDEF_CONFIG
At the end the OTP content is included in the .out or .hex file.
Question is : is there a risk if I reprogram several time the same microcontroller (with the same OTP content)?
Regards
