Is IQ format needed in 28335 application?

Hi all,

I am using TI F28335. Is IQ format required in control algorithm?

If not, do we have to convert all the format into single since 28335 using 32-bit single precision floating point numbers? For example, measure a dc voltage with ADC (supposing 180V corresponding to 3V ADC input and 4096 ADC output) and ADCINA0 output a 16-bit unit16 value of this dc voltage, should we convert this unit16 to single before using it in the main control algorithm? Or are there any other ways to do that?

Appreciate it if anyone can clear my confusion.
