TMS320F2800132: Use ExtR for clocking

Part Number: TMS320F2800132
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: C2000WARE

Hello,

I see that to increase the clocking precision we can use the function ExtR.
in the datasheet you have an example procedure and you use a fonction called "ASysCtl_setExtRCounterDelay(ASYSCTL_EXTR_COUNTER_DELAY_2048);" image.pngl

Where can I found it?

  • Hi,

    The function ASysCtl_setExtRCounterDelay is part of the C2000Ware DriverLib for the F280013x device family.

    You can find the definition and declaration within the device-specific DriverLib directory of your C2000Ware installation. Typically, these files are located at:

    C2000Ware_XXXX\driverlib\f280013x\driverlib\ 1

    Specifically, you should look in:
    * asysctl.h: This header file contains the function prototype and the definition of the ASYSCTL_EXTR_COUNTER_DELAY_2048 enumeration.
    * asysctl.c: This source file contains the implementation of the function.

    If you are working within a project in Code Composer Studio, you can usually locate these by navigating through the driverlib folder in your project explorer, or by holding "Ctrl" and clicking on the function name in your source code to jump directly to the declaration.

  • Hello Stevan,

    I have a look in the driver lib and i diddn't find it.
    I use C2000Ware_5_04_00_00 and there are not define in it.

    unfortunatly i cannot send you the file here to show it.
    The only function present is

    //*****************************************************************************
    //
    //! Gets the Ext-R OSC Status.
    //!
    //! \return Ext-R OSC Status.
    //
    //*****************************************************************************
    static inline uint16_t ASysCtl_getExtROscStatus()
    {
        return((HWREG(ANALOGSUBSYS_BASE + ASYSCTL_O_EXTROSCCSR1) &
               ASYSCTL_EXTROSCCSR1_OSCSTATUS_M) >> ASYSCTL_EXTROSCCSR1_OSCSTATUS_S);
    }

  • Hi Nicolas,

    I see where the confusion comes from. I will check with the team internally and get back to you.
