The product selector for the F28335 says there are 18 PWM channels. All I can count is 12 PWM channels: A and B outputs for each of the 6 ePWM modules.
What am I overlooking?

After reading that thread, I also found the manual TMS320x280x, 2801x, 2804x Enhanced Capture (eCAP) Module, which discusses the ideas of using the eCAP as a PWM (APWM) in more detail in sections 3 and 8. The eCAP modules are 32-bit and synchronizable for doing harmonics.

I think the F280x eCAP is the same as the F2833x eCAP, but you'll generally want to look at the proper user guide for your device. All peripheral user guides for the F2833x can be found on the device page under User Guides:
