Hi!

I'm using the Piccolo experimenter kit and I don't know what happened, but I couldn't connect to the board. I've measured the voltage and instead of 3.3V is around 1.7V. I've tried changing TPS79533. Stil not working. Does anybody have an idea which of the parts has the highest probability to be damaged?

Monica,

Do you have a current limited supply? You can try checking to see if you have an accidental short.

Hi!

I know I have a short, some part is broken. The question was: from your experience which part is the first to break? Anyway, the solution is to unsolder part by part, and probably the last one to unmount will be the broken one :)

This is unfortunate, you may have to use ohmmeter and find the damaged part by eliminating all good parts.

Monica,

Where did you measure the 1.7V (that was supposed to be 3.3V)? If it was on the baseboard (Docking Station), take the controlCARD out and try again. If the baseboard now gets to 3.3V, your issue is likely on the controlCARD.

Note that the TPS79533 on the baseboard doesn't power the controlCARD. The controlCARD takes 5V directly and converts it to 3.3V on the controlCARD itself.

All schematics for the baseboard and controlCARD are in controlSUITE.
