Last week I moved my CCS4 project to CCS5 because of the instability of CCS4 on Windows 7 x64. Debugging goes fine now, but I have a new (strange) prolem.

The same project with CCS5: 5.1.1.00031 with compiler TIv5.2.3 (Effective TI v6.0.2) builds with no errors (few warnings I think because of the migration).

Under CCS5: 5.2.0.00044 with compiler TI v5.2.3 (Effective TI v6.1.0.B1) there is an error with the cmd file: Cannot find file "Flash28335_API_V210.lib"

I can't find a solution for my problem, project properties seem the same, the files are from one repository.

The used device is a TMS320F28335, the lib file is placed in the "lib" folder in the project.

Did you include the file and/or directory in the Linker (under File Search Path)? The linker needs to know which file to use and where to find it.

The F28335 Flash API LIB is available in the controlsuite download under Libraries-> utilities->Flash API

Looks like the path definition is not being set properly. Can you re-check if the include file path in the project properties?

that is also my thought.

CSS5.1 (working)

CSS5.2 (not working)

Tomorrow I'll look closer to the settings, a college mentions also that the settings in this view are not complete.

It stays strange why the same project doesn't work on a specific install of CCS5.x.

Tried porting the 2833x LED blink example that we provide as a part of the Control Suite and it compiled just fine on CCS5.2.

Was the LEDBlink modified to use the "Flash28335_API_V210.lib"?

If so, check the .project file in the example project folder to see if the .lib is pointing to the correct path

Include library file updated with flash lib

And the searchpads modified.

The file can be found and the project can be compiled in both installations now.
