C2000 ControlSuite update booted off by Norton Sonar

I tried again yesterday to update ControlSuite - again Norton Solar deleted the executable. What is causing Norton to reject ControlSuite?

Could you provide more details? Does Norton say why it is not allowing the update?

Which file is it deleting?

Thanks for the email. As far as I know, Norton Solar does not like ControlSuite.exe, and it automatically deletes that file. I will try to get additional information regarding the offense.

That's strange. All that controlsuite.exe does is launch controlSUITE/eclipse/eclipse.exe 

You can run eclipse.exe to run the controlSUITE GUI as well.

Previous ControlSuite (before the latest update) did not trigger a Norton action.

Sorry, nothing more that I can report. I managed to keep the files associated with my USB-stick 28069. I will try another time to download ControlSuite.

Every once in a while Norton pops out "false positives", which is what is apparently happening to you.

I would suggest downloading the .zip file (click the "controlSuite zip package - v3.0.0" URL). See http://www.ti.com/tool/controlsuite

Then just have Winzip or 7zip copy over the update to your existing controlSuite directory, or create a new directory for 3.0.
