Hall sensors vs encoder, multi axis dmc

Hi there,

I've purchased the dual axis low voltage motor control kit. I've read the documentation and am trying out the examples provided. I established the following:

- The motors are pmsm.

- The Space Vector control examples are based on sensorless control.

- In the examples, sensored SV control is achieved using Quadrature encoders.

- The motors come with hall sensors, not QE.

- Hall sensors (in the examples) are used only for trapezoidal control of BLDC Motors.

I'd like to achieve sensor based SV control using the motors provided......

Will I have to convert my hall sensor signals into QEP signals?

Kind regards

Sjerra
