HV Solar DC-AC Kit

Hi,

I am using HV_SOLAR_DC_AC development kit. I don't have DC-DC solar boost converter so I am using DC supply at the input.

Everything works fine in the Open Loop Build without PLL and with PLL. But when I connect to the grid, my DC Bus starts to rise when the relays opened and the device goes to DC bus over voltage error. I installed the C1 bulk capacitor (1 mF, 350V) and I am using a DC supply of 300 volts. My grid is 230Vac, and I changed the grid settings accordingly..

Somehow it seems the inverter works as a boost converter?

230 Vac you have peak Vac as 325V,

For the inverter to work as an inverter you must be 10-20% above the grid peak voltage , otherwise it will just work as a rectifier bridge.

The minimum input voltage setting (in the code) for the inverter is about 360V or so. So you should apply at least that much volt at the inverter input.

I am aware of the rectifier concept but dc bus rises above 400 volts..

i am using a variable ac source(variac) with 60 volts rms and changed the grid settings accordingly so it does not go into fault..but then dc bus goes to the 300volt dc again..

it seems like it boosts the voltage..
