Concerto PinMux Utility

Thanks for the update.  I downloaded the latest controlSUITE and it contains the F28M35 parts.  I also need the F28M36 parts added.  When will they be added?

F28M36x sampling is planned for Oct./Nov timeframe and the devices will be added to the Pin Mux tool by the end of the year.

We've been looking at switching to the Concerto. One issue we have with the F28M35x is that we get collisions with our required peripheral selection (3 eQeps, host usb, ethernet, and then 4 uarts + spi). Given the F28M36x is out now and has more GPIO's, we were hoping this would no longer be a problem. I did start looing at the MUX control registers directly to figure out if there would be any collisions, but I think I'm getting too old to be able to work it out (!), so it would be good to have the 'M36 added to the Pin Mux tool soon. Do you have a beta version available?

Unfortunately there is no beta available at this time. 

One thing to note is that the F28M35x and F28M36x pinout is actually quite similar (the F28M36x just has more pins [GPIO72-135] and therefore more places for peripherals to come out).  I would recommend assuming that you will place ENET from GPIO76 to GPIO95 (GPIOs only on F28M36x) and then trying to use the F28M35x PinMux tool to get everything else out of the chip.  QEPs and USB should be the first priorities to get placed with the pinmux because it is possible that you can use some subset of GPIO72-135 to get uarts & spis out.

Sorry, there is no update yet.  A few weeks ago, the date I was given was approximately the end of April.  Someone is working on it but it is a lower priority item for our team.  That being said, I will pass on that people are interested in the update.

As I mentioned previously, using the F28M35x target for the PinMux should help for the time being.

In the meantime, maybe there is a better formatted source to use than the tables in the datasheet? Maybe there's an Excel sheet you can provide?

The pinmux now allows the selection of an M36 concerto part, but doesn't show the proper registers when clicking on the Other Registers button.  It only shows the registers for ports A - J!
