Code Coverage and Unit Testing for C2000?

Hi,

I've got a project and when I read the specs about Code Composer there was all this talk about how it did Code Coverage.   But now that I've already committed to using a C2000 (F28335) I find that neither CCSV33 or CCSV40 supports code coverage for the C2000.  I got this directly from Tim Love of TI yesterday.

Anyway I was wondering if anyone has found a decent tool to automate Code Coverage and Unit Testing on this family of processors.

Thanks!

  • You might want to try LDRA in the UK. They have code coverage tools and I think they support the C2000.

  • Thanks Steve, you are right in what you have stated. LDRA's suite of static and dynamic analysis tools support the C2000 family amongst others for both source and object (Assembler) code verification. David, if you would like more information on the LDRA tools please contact me, Jonathan Kelly, Sales Manager at LDRA, jonathan.kelly@ldra.com, and I will send it to you. We can also provide an on-line webinar demonstration of the tools working with CCS and an eZdsp target board.

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Jonathan

  • Steve,

Thanks for the response.  I wish my project had more time and $ to invest in another product but after having tried to get C++Test to work on the C2000 we're pretty discouraged from trying another 3rd party tool.  Of course that is nothing against product and we will keep it in mind if we do another C2000 based project.
