XDS100 FT232 instead of FT2232

Hi,

I'm trying to implement XDS100 v1(legacy). Can I use FT232 instead of FT2232? I need only emulator functionality, no need to work as USB-UART bridge (simultaneously). Also FT2232 is not available in my region. What steps I've to follow if I go with FT232?
