32 bit period measurement without eCAP on 28335?

I am using the 28335 and have run out of eCAP inputs and need to measure the period of a signal.  Are there any other modules that can give a measurement with better than 16 bits resolution?  I have looked at the eQEP capture and XINT timestamp counters but they only have 16 bits of resolution.
