Device locked + TMS320F2810

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F2810

Currently we are facing problem with device locked. We are working on Code composer 3.3 for TMS320F2810 hardware.

With the device locked,  we are unable to flash the new application.

What we believe is, accidentally our software have overwritten the locations contain the CSM password.

Right now we don’t know the password to unlock the device in this case. We tried to unlock the device using On chip flash programmer with default Keys (FFFF), but not successful.

Your solution to overcome this issue is very much appreciated.

  • Sorry, there's no back door to the password protection as that would not be very secure!  You'll have to replace the chip.

(PS.  This is a c6000 forum, not c2000.  I'm moving your post there -- it's under the "Microcontrollers" heading.

  • Hi ,

Thank you for your reply and we are in process of changing the vhip.

Now we are in development phase of the project and there is a hardware crunch .

In future we dont want the similar problem to occur again. For this can you suggest us some methods.

Is there any way to disable this security feature fully and can enable once the product is freezed?

Your solution can help us in resolving these security issues .
