F2812 ezdsp parallel port cannont get connected

hi,

I am using f2812 ezdsp and i have set the parallet port as ECP and address is 0x378 according to the user guide,

but sdconfig3.1 cannot detect the parallet port

i am using vista home basic, is sdconfig3.1 compatible with it? if not, what shall i do?

urgent! please help!

    i used configuration->ports available, but got the following message

    ** Checking for available printer ports
    ERROR >>Could not open the driver (.sys file)
    ERROR >>Could not open the driver (.sys file)
    ERROR >>Could not open the driver (.sys file)

    why?

    Billstrong,

    You state that you have the port address set to 0x378 per the User's Guide. Is this the actually address of your parallel port on your PC? It is possible that the port cannot be opened because your actual port address is 0x3BC, 0x278, etc. You can check this in the BIOS or Hardware Manager.

    Hi to everyone,

    I also have the same trouble and same Error messages. Was using XP 32 bits for several time without problems, but when updated to Vista 64 bits, couldn't get the F2812 Ezdsp working anymore. There is nothing wrong regarding to parallel port settings. I think it is a driver related problem.

    I´m using CCS3.3 and SDconfig 1.43.04

    Hi everyone,

    I also had problems communicating to ezDSP F2812 in Vista, using my parallel port. The only thing I had to change was my BIOS setting for the parallel port, it used to be on SPP, changed it to ECP and everything is working perfectly now.

    Also running on CCS3.3 and SDConfig 1.43.04.

    Hi Charl,

    Is your PC running Vista 64 bits edition?

    I made it work fine with Vista 32 bits, but couldn´t with 64 bits version.

    could u help me to setup ezdsp f2181 with ccs 3.3..tqvm.

    + parallel port.
