Command line compilation of a project

Using Piccolo device, I am trying to build the project through command line instead of IDE. Please let me know if there is any doc. that can point me to right direction. The goal is to run a script to build the project and copy the .out file to a known location.

you can also perform a full range of debugger commands from the command line such as loading and running the .out file you built:

Is there any quick way to build a project through command line from command shell by some sort of Make utils (gmake or timake,..)?

I don't need to do any project debugging through command line only to build it, I don't know if how to call the generated makefile in project and what make util. to use
