Code protection

I have new (empty) 240x Dsp.

what happen if i write the 4 word data (not 0000 or not ffff) in the flash location 40H, 41H, 42H and 43H?

Now is this Dsp code protected?

  • Hello,

This statement is correct. The password locations for the TMS320LF240xA products is 0x40-0x43. Once you write data to these locations the flash will be locked. Please ensure that you take note of what password you are writing to this location. If you lose the password there is no mass erase operation and the flash will not be able to be unlocked.
