CC2480 and TMS320F28335

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28335, CC2430

Hi

I am doing an industrial project for my thesis. The project is a wireless embedded controller [1 Master & 2 slaves]. I am currently using DSK 6713 for experimental purpose but I am considering using TMS320F28335 for the final product. I need feedback from anyone who has used this device. The tasks are

1 Acquire load cell output at 500Hz for 3s

2 Perform FFT [1024 point or 512 x 3 ] on the data. Calculate the sum [S]

3 Send 'S' to slave controller using ZigBee network

4 Will use CC2480 for wireless comms

  • Vdevan,

I have never used the 28335 with the ChipCon device but see no reason why you could not use the TMS320F28335 for this application. You have enough processing power to handle this. We also provide an FFT library for this device so you can get started:

  • Hi Tim

Thanks a lot for the information. I have bought the eZ430-RF2480 kit and going through the sample application [ZASA]. I would like to modify the sample application to suit my aproject. Could you please direct me to suitable documents and support links. I have downloded docs from the CC2480 kit support site but I have noticed there is more documents for CC2430 & CC25xx devices. I would also like to contact TI staff directly. Is it possible to contact you directly via email. My main enquiries in the near future will be on 28335 and CC2480, reference designs and PCB reference designs.

    Regards

    Vdevan
