Cannot Program/Erase Flash on F28027

I get the following errors trying to erase/program flash:

C28xx: Flash Programmer: Error erasing Flash memory.
C28xx: Flash operation timed out waiting for the algorithm to complete. Operation cancelled.
C28xx: Trouble Writing Memory Block at 0x3f6d9e on Page 0 of Length 0x16
C28xx: GEL: File: C:\Documents and Settings\admin\My Documents\Dropbox\Classes\Senior Design\Main Device\MainCCS\Test\Debug\Test.out: Load failed.

I am powering the circuit with 3.3V with no limit on the current.

I'm using CCSv5 on XP; I'm fairly confident that my issue isn't software related because my code works great on a development board that I bought. I'm heavily thinking that my problem is physical... I need to confirm that my circuit is not the problem before I start looking elsewhere.

Hi Jose,

Some suggestions:

1) Based on the datasheet (http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/tms320f28027.pdf) section 6.6, it looks like if the programming header is more than 6 inches away from the MCU, there may be issues with programming.

2) I also noticed that you have pin 6 floating on the JTAG header, where figure 6-3 has that pin grounded (see below).

4) According to the following E2E post, the errors you're receiving may be due to your device entering a depletion state.

I would say check that the JTAG connections on your board are correct and the correct valued pullup/pulldown resistors are placed appropriately. Hope that helps.
