 You can use the Flash project in the 28335 C/C++ Header Files and Peripheral Examples software package (SPRC530). Currently the program interrupts periodically using the ePWM timers, but you can easily modify the code by adding a small bit of code to toggle a GPIO pin corresponding to the LED on the F28335 eZDSP in the timer interrupt service routines.

Thanks... the project works, however, when I compiled it, I got a bunch of the following warnings for each source code file:

>> WARNING: invalid compiler option --float_support=fpu32 (ignored)

How do I fix this?

I suspect you are using an older compiler.  You need at least compiler v5.0 (I think) for floating point support.

 David is correct - you will need to update the compiler (Code Gen Tools) to at least v 5.0.0 and make sure CCS is updated to at least Service Release 7 (up to SR12 now) so the compiler can recognize floating point.

On the other hand, if you are short on time, you can compile the 2823x equivalent flash example instead (which is the fixed-point equivalent and does not require floating-point support). This example will run on the 2833x devices as well.

I ran the "C2000CodeGenerationTools5.1.2.exe" patch program and chose an installation path of "C:\Program Files\C2000 Code Generation Tools 5.1.2", but my "CCS About" screen still shows "Code Generation Tools v4.1.3"... did I do something wrong and/or miss something?

  Did you pick the new compiler under component manager? Look for your processor under "Build tools". Make sure you check the new compiler you installed (5.1.2)
