Replacing Stellaris control card with Piccolo control card in BLDC Motor Kit with DRV8312

Hi,

I am designing a HallSwitch BLDC motor driver. In order to develop the software and test the driver stage, I have purchased a 3-Phase BLDC Motor Kit with DRV8312 and Stellaris® LM4F211 MCU. I have two questions:

1. May I replace the Stellaris control card, with a "Piccolo" F28027 or "Piccolo" F28035 control card?

2. The reason is, I am willing to use VisSim for algorith development and testing. They have only C2000 support. So, I need to switch the "brains". If there are people experienced with VisSim use, I would kindly ask how to implement DRV8332 into the .vsm diagram/ program.

1) Yes, you can. In fact, there is a F28035 kit available for the DRV8312.

2) I am not sure of the VisSim contacts. I will forward the post to the C2000 team to follow-up.

To follow up with what Ryan mentioned, buying a TMDSCNCD28035ISO controlCARD (along with the DK-LM4F-DRV8312 you've already bought) will allow you to have all the pieces of the DRV8312-C2-KIT and you could then follow the documentation for that kit within controlSUITE.

Regarding VisSim: I'm not sure of the exact details but do know that VisSim has created demos around many of our kits. The following link makes me feel like they've done one for the DRV8312-C2-KIT.
