There are a couple of application notes with software for a SRM, but I'm having trouble finding the example files on ti's website. Does anyone know where the software files are located?

Salvatore,
As you've found, we do not have an example of SR motor control with the F2812 specifically.
There is a potential plan to re-experiment internally with SR motors around the newer C2000 Piccolo or Delfino series, but nothing concrete yet.
The following page currently summarizes what motor control software exists now with C2000's 32-bit *28* devices :

Thank you,

Good day,
I am looking for a Synchronous Reluctance Motor raging from 2- 5Hp for research purposes. I am currently in Montreal, Canada. Does anyone know of any supplier? i have been looking with no success...
you are very unlikely to find an SR off the shelf. it will need to be built to spec from a supplier. one of the only SR motors that is somewhat common is from an old Whirlpool Neptune washing machine, you can find them on eBay. There are also apparently a few vacuum cleaners using them today, but I don't know specific model numbers.
several universities (Virgina Tech is one example) have programs around SR, and I'd be surprised if most traction companies in the Detroit and Toronto/Montreal areas didn't have something they are working on as well.
I believe ABB also sells a series of SynRM along with a drive, but they are rather large (11 kW+)
