Regarding MCLKSTS

Hi,

I would like to find out what are the conditions that will make MCLKSTS to be set when the MCU just power up?? As I am using F28335 and I am running on the TMS320F28335 Experimenter Kit. I have one running project where the MCLKSTS is zero, when InitPll is called and I have another project, which have newly organize back with given files from TI. For the new project, MCLKSTS is always set to 1. On the same hardware and under same condition old project is working.

Please advice me what are the files that I need to look at and what are the register I need to watch out...

Sean,

MCLKSTS bit is set if the device is operating in limp mode( if OSCCLK is missing ). Please refer to the system control and interrupts user guide.

Hello there,

is there any solution for this strange behaviour? I have a board with a F28234 which is working with one project but doesn't work with another one. The crystal is working fine. The execution of the non-working project always stops after checking the MCLKSTS bit in InitPll(...). I'm using TI CCS v4.
