Hello,

I am new to sensorless control using a sliding mode observer. Searching information for this topic I found a very good paper explain bang-bang, saturation function and sigmoid function: http://www.ecti-thailand.org/assets/papers/187_pub_16.pdf

One of the authors is Mr. Mongkol Konghirun, surprisingly, the author of the DMCLib Configuration.xls file found on controlSuite application library :)

My question is: Do you have an example (library module) for this Observer with Sigmoid Function? From what I read, it seems to be better than two other.

Sorry, Dan, never used the Sigmoid.

And yes, Mongkol was an employee at TI in the early years of the DMC software construction.

I am doing research on sensorless control of PMSM. I am using TIF2812. What is given in TI document is sliding mode observer for back emf estimation. It requires low pass filter, I wanted to know how to calculate cut off frequency of LPF and how to find compensation for theta. Pls if anybody can help me
